A sweet, bourbon flavoured bbq sauce with spices and hot sauce for a kick of spice!!
This is an easy spicy bourbon bbq sauce, perfect for steak or chicken. Use whiskey is you have that, as bourbon and whiskey are really similar.

Bourbon vs Canadian Whiskey
Bourbon is always whiskey, but whiskey is not always bourbon.
The main differences between bourbon and whiskey are the kind of grain that is used and where the spirit is produced.
Bourbon is an American made whiskey that must contain at least 51 percent corn in its mash and be aged in new, charred-oak barrels.
To make American straight whiskeys, different grains are mashed together, then fermented, distilled, and aged.
Canadian Whiskey’s common grains are corn, rye and malted barley.
Canadian whiskey is a bit different. Instead of mashing all the grains together, Canadian distillers mash, ferment, distill, and age each type of grain separately.
Why is Maple Syrup SO Expensive?
It takes about 30-50 gallons of sap to make one single gallon of syrup – t could take a single mature maple tree and entire sugaring season to produce the sap needed!
Quebec and north eastern states have a higher sugar content which means they can use less sap to make syrup. Thus, Canadian Quebec maple is the most popular in the world!!!
Using honey instead of maple syrup is a good option if you do not have maple syrup. Heat up the honey slightly so it mixes into the tomato sauce easily!
