
Papa’s Parmesan Toast
A perfect Rye toast topped with Parmesan, onion and a kick of dijon spice!
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
- 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
- 2 tbs grated purple onion *any onion will work
- 2 tsp dijon mustard
- 4 slices Marble Rye *Rye or any type of bread will work
- salt & pepper
- 2 tbsp butter *optional
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to broil 500C
- Butter the top of each slice of bread and lay them on a baking sheet with a little space in between each slice
- Combine all the ingredients together in a small bowl and mix well
- Spread mixture over slices of bread evenly
- Broil until golden brown for about 2 minutes
Notes
- Use any type of bread at any thickness
- Skip the onion if you don’t like it
- Skip the butter, it will still turn out nice
- Add grated asiago for more flavour
- Season it up with whatever you like!
